Doctors Visit

The ultrasound / doctors visit was not all good news. We are borderline "placenta defincient" which means the placenta is not working 100% and is gradually deteriorating. So we will most likely deliver pre-term. The doctor wants to try to get us to 36 weeks, which is the end of February.

On top of this news, later that night Kari started having severe pains. The on-call doctor told us to go to the hospital for monitoring. We arrived at the hospital and the monitor showed Kari was having contractions 2-4 minutes apart. Not good at 30 weeks! The nurse gave Kari some pills to stop the contractions. We got home early morning with no sleep and then had to seen the doctor for more monitoring today. Everthing looks good. We had more tests that show that Kari most likely was not having labor and according to the results, should be safe for at least a few more weeks.

Time to get some sleep!

Seven Months Pregnant

I decided today to start publishing information for family and friends about our pregnany. We are expecting a girl sometime between the end of February and mid-March. So far everthing is going good and we have our next major ultrasound tomorrow. We think we have a name, but we're not quite ready to start telling people yet.
